Holiday Update Post: Much Has Been in the Works!

Hello, Reader. Welcome back to another update post. I know it has been a long time since my last post, but there has been so much going on. I hope your holidays are finding you well. Part of the reason for the posting gap was due to applying for jobs and trying to look for other endeavors to bring in a little extra. So far, I’ve received emails saying the companies were going to continue searching for prospective candidates.

My wife has added me as a partner on her LLC (Lion’s Pride Communications) and I have started to offer my editing services to authors who need an editor. Click in the parenthesis if you’re interested in looking into my offered services and rates. My wife has also started offering book cover, business card, and bookmark design as well.

I, recently, published a new book. It’s a completely different project than what I normally produce. I wanted to dabble in a new niche and help fellow creators at the same time. It’s titled A Year of One Word Writing Prompts. After trying so many prompt books, I found many to be too generic. All too often, I would flip past prompts, because they rarely correlated to my life experiences. Another issue that can be irritating with prompt books is the prompts being dated. You always have to flip pages to find the correct date. If you miss a day, you must skip a day or multiple days to get to the correct date. The new book takes care of all those issues. Each prompt is a single word that is marked by day. No matter when you start, you can start at day one and work your way through. If you miss a day, then you just pick back up at the next prompt. There are 366 prompts in all. One for each day of the year and an extra for leap year. Since each prompt is a single word, many different creators, as well as teachers, can benefit from it: writers, artists, and song writers/musicians. It was also created as a tool to defeat writer’s block. With single words, it allows the creator to write down the definition, at minimum, and hopefully start the thought process moving forward. As long as there is some movement of thought, it can likely help the creator get past mental stagnation.

The prompt book used up my remaining two ISBNs. Therefore, it will be a while before I publish any future stories. I will continue to write in preparation of when I am able to attain more ISBNs. When I am able to start publishing again, I plan on releasing a novel or new story every three months.

That is, pretty much, what’s been happening since the last update post. If you’re looking for ways to generate new ideas or combating writer’s/creative block, feel free to check out the new book. It would also make a great gift for a creator in your life. As of writing/posting this, there is still time to get it in before Christmas. If you’re reading this and needing manuscript editing, a book cover design, business card design, or bookmark design, reach out to us at Lion’s Pride Communications. We would be glad to discuss working with you for the best service we can offer.

Have a safe and happy holiday! May your holiday season overflow with blessings!
