Review Thursday: Breath of the Wild

After last weeks Review Thursday post over the Nintendo Switch, I thought it would be fitting to post a review on Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The graphics and gameplay in the game are amazing. Some of the scenery seems so lifelike that you sometimes could think that you are looking at a photograph. The game controls take a little time to get used to, but I found them easy to pick up after a short time playing.

Breath of the Wild has an expansive world map that it could take numerous hours to fully explore. There are so many places and climates you can explore within the game.

There are a ton of monsters and villains to defeat that have a varied range of difficulty. Of course, the ultimate villain in the game is Calamity Ganon and the most difficult. He has six different forms that you must beat to win the game.

The only negative that comes to mind about the game is that there is no follow up or epilogue after Calamity Ganon is vanquished. The game just ends. You can’t even keep playing the same timeline, unless you go back to your last saved point before the Ganon battle and play or explore more.

In my opinion, this game is a must buy. It is entertaining and poses many challenges along the way. Thank you for checking in on another Review Thursday. I hope you come back next week to read more. I will be reviewing Breath of the Wild’s sequel, Tears of the Kingdom. Have a safe week, everyone.
