Update Monday 5 On a Tuesday

Welcome to another Update Monday, on a Tuesday. This will not be a frequent thing. I had some things to update on, but with the date being what it was, I lost all motivation to do anything the second half of the day.

If you have been following the blog for some time, you may have read the post Reasons for my Absence from social media. Yesterday was the day we had initially anticipated, but ended up dreading. For those who have recently started following the blog, my wife and I lost our first pregnancy two days after Christmas. July 17, yesterday, was the expected due date. Yesterday morning, still waking up, I was oblivious as to the date. Once it hit me, I lost all motivation to do anything. We spent the day trying to keep ourselves busy and distracted. I personally wasn’t successful. It came to mind often that we would have been at the hospital meeting our baby and welcoming them into the world. With the arrival and passing of yesterday, it was the final closing of the coffin and initial grief of all the possibilities we hoped and longed for around the holidays. We will always remember, but now are able to look back on a lost loved one. Our tattoos are our remembrance and reminder of this chapter in our lives.

So, what do we do now? We do our best to move on the best we can, like the day after a funeral. The grief is still fresh, but we focus on what lies ahead.

The other updates are that I have finished writing and adding chapter two to the sequel to Second Chances. I was also able to get a little reading in this past week as well.

My wife and I invested in new laptops to better work with our work plans and demands. They are gaming laptops that are much faster than our previous computers. We have started playing World of Warcraft again and some of that game play may make it to the Adventure Channel at some point. We also may start our own gaming channels on YouTube at some point in the future.

Thank you for tuning in to another Update Monday. Be sure to check back for Review Thursday or check out some of the previous blogs. Have a safe week and be sure to stay hydrated.
