Hounded 2

How would you fare against Zombies…Human and Canine?

Hounded 2, written by Ellie Douglas, picks up where Hounded left off. The characters are fighting to survive in a world plagued with zombie dogs. Yet, there is a new threat; actually two new threats to be precise. The people in Comas, due to the virus, are beginning to reanimate as zombies. The other threat is a group of mercenaries that are killing men at will and kidnapping women to use however they see fit.

After setting up the story in Hounded, Hounded 2 is a tale of reunions, loss, and survival. The characters must continue to fight to stay alive.

Like Hounded, the story at its heart was amazing. The characters had individual personalities and feelings.

As far as the writing style, I found it very similar to the first book. In my opinion, it was way too descriptive by using too many adjectives and adverbs. The ending seemed cut short and neat in comparison to the rest of the book. With the rest of the chaos in the start and in Hounded, it just seemed too clean. It almost felt like the author may have been setting up for a third installment. The author has started a Patreon account to raise fund to hire a copy editor to look over her works. I truly hope that the stories can be copy edited and get the attention to bring out their underlying potential. If not for the distracting descriptions and wrong use of some words, these novels could be absolutely amazing. I am truly anxious to see how this author grows in future stories.
